History
Lily Lodge proprietor Ariana Lambert Smeraldo opened the first
location of Lily Lodge on Robertson Boulevard in April 2005.
The Lily Lodge name comes from Ariana’s ancestral retreat,
Lilee Lodge named after her Grandfather Lee and Grandmother
Lillian.
An Idyllic spot carved out of the dense forest on the shores
of Lake Katherine in the North Woods of Wisconsin. This magical
retreat was a safe haven for family
and friends to come together blurring generations and social
conformities.
Ariana Lambert Smeraldo was born and bred in Los Angeles,
the daughter of an Art Gallery Owner and a Cinematographer/Pyrotechnic
she has been immersed
in the arts since childhood. Ariana’s family received
The French Legion of Honor for being the first to import French
Couture into America for “Blum’s Vogue”
which was the leading fashion boutique for couture from the
1920’s through the 1960’s. Blum’s Vogue
housed designers such as Dior, Chanel, Givenchy, Oscar De
la Renta, Balenciaga, and Yves Saint Laurent. After Boston
University, Ariana returned to Los Angeles to become a Fashion
Stylist for various entertainment and fashion magazines, celebrities
and advertisement campaigns.
In 1998 Ariana took an executive position as the West Coast
Director of Stores and Public Relations with Bottega Veneta.
After four years she left to concentrate on opening Lily Lodge.
In 2002 Ariana met her husband Eric Nero Smeraldo a long
time actor and general contractor. Together they turned her
vision of Lily Lodge into a reality. Nero constructed the
focal point of the boutique, a floral cooler like no other.
